Do you take colour and black and white images?
Yes. Both colour and black and white can make a striking statement on the style and emotion of your wedding. I generally see an image in either black and white or colour before it is captured depending on the details of the scene. A beautifully printed black and white photograph can look very stylish in your album or mounted and framed on your wall. I take lots so you have plenty of choice.
How many pictures will you take?
Everyone asks me this! Well, I can start taking photographs when we meet in the morning until you are dancing at night, making sure that I capture everything in between. I often end up with 700 - 1000 images which I then edit down for your package. This is quite a lot since I’m not a ‘trigger-happy’ shooter – my style means that I wait for the moment before pressing the shutter.
Can I give you a 'wish list' of photos I want?
Yes, you can. Actually when I meet with couples I give them a short questionnaire to fill out. On this I give you space for a maximum of 15 group shots (you really don’t want to spend your wedding day doing group shots!) and space to write anything else that you especially want. I take into account all the information you give me on this questionnaire, including the type of people you are and the sorts of images you’re into. I am very flexible but I’m also a reportage photographer so people generally hire me to capture the day as it unfolds.
