July 16, 2011 // Personal
It's my annual birthday blog post! Worryingly, the birthdays seem to be getting less exciting sounding as the years go by! Hopefully that will change soon when we are out of the house building era. These days doing an entire washing up without a small person trying to pull my trousers down is deemed a successful activity. Excitement doesn't really enter into it!

So yesterday was my 32nd birthday, and it was SOOOO cold that any thoughts of going out somewhere and walking (I like a good walk on my birthday) went out the window. The plan instead was to sit by the fire eating chocolate and then go out for a meal.

Well, we tried. I have so much to do before I leave for the UK next week that couldn't resist finishing my tax spreadsheet. And then because Elmer didn't nap in the day he was too tired to take to a restaurant.

We did have my favourite takeaway pizza though! Successful activity!!!!!

Elmer's wearing his Welsh shirt in preparation for all the Welshness he's going to experience in a week's time. I just need to teach him to say "alright boyo!"

This time last year I turned 31 and we went for a walk with baby Elmer and I ate cake.

The year before on my 30th I was pregnant with Elmer and we ate out in a nice restaurant. The year before that when I turned 29 I was in China eating noodles after a Peking Duck disaster.

I tell you what, if we are still houseless and living in the barn next year when I turn 33, I WILL EAT MY HAT. Oops, hopefully I haven't just jinxed the build!!!!!
