Rachael and Michael were after warm, summery, backlit images for their country fayre style wedding, so I was really hoping it would be sunny for their wedding. Considering the awful weather we've had in Dunedin over the last couple of weeks, these guys were lucky. On top of that, the couple of spots we visited during our photoshoot that required a dimmer, cloudier light... were cloudy. At JUST the right times. It was amazing! I couldn't have ordered better light.
I'd say that's probably karma for being ill during a double wedding weekend!
I only met Michael a couple of days before the wedding, so hadn't seen him and Rachael together before that. Violet was assisting me this weekend (Liana's off on a camping trip), and she put it perfectly. Seeing them at the top of the aisle together - they complete eachother. Which I know sounds corny, but I didn't say it! These guys couldn't be more suited, and ahhhh, that makes me feel good. I just love weddings like this.
Right, I'm off to do some press ups and MAN UP!

Beautiful garden party setting outside the church - kudos to whoever sewed the bunting (double sided and all), much more impressive than my feeble stapled efforts!

(I KNOW! Candy floss - how cool is that?!)

We headed out to the peninsula for a photoshoot, and like I said, the weather made it worth our while.

Lush. I have a wedding this Saturday at Larnach Castle, and before then I hope to squeeze in an Elmer blog post. I know - I can almost hear the collective blog reading sigh of relief! Haha.
