I thought I should get something Christmassy up on the blog. The reason this is Christmas Post Number One is because I have a VERY cute seasonal photograph of Elmer to share, but I'll save that for tomorrow.
In the meantime, here is our Christmas tree! I know I said I wasn't going to have one, but then I got a little sad about the possibility of a tree-less Christmas, so Steven went out and hacked down a pine branch for me. So romantic! The branch isn't quite the perfect shape for a Christmas tree, but I love it. Plus it smells beautiful. Here is the tree, and in particular the angel I made for the top:
Next year Steven has promised we will have a gigantic Christmas tree in the house. Until then, I'm happy with my make-do barn version. Oh and here is our place, a couple of nights ago after the clouds lifted:
I'm editing images from Shelley and Bailey's BEAUTIFUL wedding last weekend. And this afternoon I have to go out and purchase some last minute gifts, with Elmer. He's teething again, which isn't much fun for anyone involved, but I'm hoping that with this 4th molar just finishing pushing through, we'll have a bit of a break over Christmas!

(12.23.10 @ 05:46 PM)What do you mean 'he's teething again'? I thought we'd agreed he's got sixteen teeth already. Isn't that enough? You're going to have to firm with him. We'll see you on Skype on (your) Christmas morning. I'm planning to wear my Santa Claus hat. I'll speak to Elmer about teeth and toys, making clear there's a linkage. You shouldn't have any problems after that.
