I just love the current trend for vintage style weddings. Jennifer and David managed to pull theirs off effortlessly and on a small budget. Plus they are such a good looking, creative, and chic couple, the whole day matched them perfectly. The ceremony was planned for one of the lawns at Glenfalloch, but it rained and was moved inside to the reception room at the old house. With an intimate number attending it all worked perfectly, with the fire, the simple little jars of flowers, the dark, cosy room....
Oh and Jennifer and David pretty much made EVERYTHING you see here. the table settings, floral arrangements, the cakes... which by the way I love!! The flowers are picked from David's parent's garden in Sawyers Bay.
Sometimes I get a feeling at a wedding and I'm on a roll creatively - this was one of those weddings, I loved it! But a big part of that is having a couple who put complete trust in me to do whatever I think will look best. Thank you to Jennifer and David for that...

This singer was amazing. He is part of the Dunedin Musician's Club (I think I got that right). I wanted to rewind back to my wedding and have him sing Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah during the signing of the register too... ahhhhhhh.....

Watching the bride arrive...

Look at the cakes on the left - lush!

This was a perfect wedding for me - beautiful details, lovely location, easygoing, happy couple, and.... a bit of drizzle. Lovely. I've just got back from Richelle and Ian's wedding in Central Otago this weekend - it was SO hot I almost died. But (contain yourselves), I was shooting in a STRAWBALE HOUSE! And it was gorgeous! I can't wait to blog the images!
In other good news, Elmer seems to be over the worst of the teething and is an absolute delight. He's currently on the floor behind me flicking through The New Zealand Woman's Weekly Complete Guide to Modern Asian Cuisine.
