Sometimes I read other people's blogs (not very often Steven - mostly I'm working of course..), and I am struck by how wonderful other people's lives seem. They run on the beach, they laugh over silIy little things, and they revel in the good side of life. Then in the evening, as they share remote controls with their husbands, they blog about what a wonderful day it's been.
I don't want to come across as one of those people. So I will preface this post with the fact that the day before The Lovely Afternoon, Steven and I had a big row about all sorts of silly little things, I had a fat day, and I also had a mini tantrum over the annoying bit of carpet that sticks up because we don't have proper carpet because I live in a barn and not a real house.
The lovely afternoon:

The logo is still allowed because I 'managed' the photograph and Steven pressed the shutter :)

Ahhhhhhhhh.

I think I laughed out loud when I read your post.... if it makes you feel any better I have a non insulated home with brown paisley carpet... oh and bright orange vinyl kitchen chairs... which are delicately perched next to my orange formica kitchen table..... circa 1967!! (and no they are not shabby chic, more like bloody ugly) We didn't argue this morning we just ignored one another!!! I had a super dooper I'm so fat day, and I have skin like a 15 year old (not smooth and wrinkle free 15 year old.... spotty and blemished 15 year old skin)
(03.17.10 @ 12:39 AM)However I feel better now that I had a visit to your blog!! xxx
It must be like being on holiday ALL of the time :D
(03.17.10 @ 08:07 AM)Ahhhh, yes (http://sineadphoto.blogspot.com/2008/12/like-being-on-holiday-all-time.html), that was fun living in the tent ey?! I just re-read that post and now I feel so much better living in a barn! Albeit without a bathroom... Fiona, I can sympathise about the carpet/1970s theme there. My carpet makes me feel dizzy on a regular basis.
