Anne and Tim married at Lanarch Castle, and despite this being one of the most recognised wedding venues in Dunedin, it's the first time I've shot a ceremony here! (Although I did shoot a reception last year). It really reminds me of places back home (obviously, it was brought over from Scotland brick by brick), and again, we had a day of perfect cloud (just what I wanted here) with the sun making an appearance just after dinner to show off the sunset.
Anne and Tim have a son, Caleb, who is adorable. He was ring bearer and behaved admirably. He also had the officious task of signing a specially made certificate (presumably to bestow his approval on the marriage), so it was nice to see him so involved. He even helped cut the cake, and couldn't resist eating a chunk that 'fell off'. Fair enough.
The lovely Anne and Tim seated us for dinner, which we weren't expecting (I had Violet with me), and Man Alive.... the food at Lanarch is GOOD. Mmm. Now I'm thinking of food I'd better hurry up and blog some favourites before I dive into the fridge.....

Ahhh, the romance of it all!
The exciting thing about this week is that my sister arrives for a holiday here in less than 2 days time!!!! I can't wait.
Shuffling past the cupboards and the table, often with a toy car for company:

Attempting to open the freezer, but failing because I've sellotaped it shut:

Staring at the chickens whilst I hang the washing out:

Rearranging the cups on the bottom shelf:

And staring outside, waiting for the dogs to come and entertain him:

That's an image from the start of the month - I have taken my Christmas tree down!
I love these photos of your son, so memberable, and such a wee cutie

Note to self: Don't make Elmer wear embarrassing stuff like this. EXCEPT, if it is properly themed - like a Christmas Elf, or a Dinosaur, or the Easter Bunny. I am definitely making him a dinosaur outfit this year.
Paddy's the only one who comes out of this with any dignity
(01.14.11 @ 11:23 PM)That was one of my favourite outfits. And I've kept it in case Elmer has a little sister! M x
(01.15.11 @ 06:12 AM)Why wait for Elmer to have a little sister? They look uni-sex to me. In fact if you've kept them both we can keep him in fashion from the age of 4 to 12. Send them over Monica. With a wash and an iron they'll be sparkly new.
(01.17.11 @ 01:24 PM)Silly comments page. Sinead doesn't refer to her mother as Monica. Steven the husband does
(01.17.11 @ 01:28 PM)I'd say that's probably karma for being ill during a double wedding weekend!
I only met Michael a couple of days before the wedding, so hadn't seen him and Rachael together before that. Violet was assisting me this weekend (Liana's off on a camping trip), and she put it perfectly. Seeing them at the top of the aisle together - they complete eachother. Which I know sounds corny, but I didn't say it! These guys couldn't be more suited, and ahhhh, that makes me feel good. I just love weddings like this.
Right, I'm off to do some press ups and MAN UP!

Beautiful garden party setting outside the church - kudos to whoever sewed the bunting (double sided and all), much more impressive than my feeble stapled efforts!

(I KNOW! Candy floss - how cool is that?!)

We headed out to the peninsula for a photoshoot, and like I said, the weather made it worth our while.

Lush. I have a wedding this Saturday at Larnach Castle, and before then I hope to squeeze in an Elmer blog post. I know - I can almost hear the collective blog reading sigh of relief! Haha.
