This was my last wedding of this 2015/16 season so OF COURSE it was epic and beautiful and breathtaking and I wanted to shoot another one next week. Well, you know, almost 😉 There are some times when I feel like I have to pinch myself because I have the most incredible job. I know how smug that sounds (in fact I very rarely write that sentence simply because it is so overwhelmingly smug, but the trouble is, it’s true). Capturing the wedding day of two truely lovely and thoughtful (and funny) people who choose to marry somewhere spectacular and also take a helicopter trip up to somewhere even more spectacular was so much fun. Every part of the day was just one big beautiful chilled out happy moment.
Also, how amazing is Abigail’s wedding dress? And the flowers? And the wigwam at the reception?? And the autumn leaves and the liiiiight!!
The page boy, a future comedy star, decided it would be funny to pretend he forgot the rings, so he stood dramatically patting his pockets and pretending to panic before he ‘found’ them. I love weddings with extra humour, especially when people like Abigail and Callum are so quick to laugh. Hilarious speeches later on in the big barn at Glendhu Station also included stories about how Abigail (nurse) and Callum (doctor) met and fell in love. These two are the most perfect match for eachother. There was of course good food, warming fires outside under a very starry night, some on-point dancing and lots of pretty stuff. It feels good to have such an all round beautiful and sunny wedding gracing the blog as we head into NZ winter…. horah!
